Background

Webtex, a subsidiary of Textiss, specializes in fashion and accessories, with a particular focus on underwear. In a digital world where everything is bought online, Webtex faces the challenge of strong business growth while accelerating its expansion across Europe. My role is to provide the company with an information system that can scale at the pace of its growth. This means supporting the sales team in developing the business efficiently, maintaining existing legacy tools while building new ones that meet today’s highest market standards.

Project Description

As Head of Information Systems at Webtex, I oversee all IT operations, from infrastructure to e-commerce website development. My role is key to supporting the company’s growth and efficiency.

Role and Responsibilities

• Infrastructure management: I oversee a complex infrastructure including VMware hypervisors and Linux and Windows Server machines, as well as the maintenance of the Sage 100c ERP.
• Internal tools development: A concrete example is the new e-commerce platform currently under development, which will handle all order, inventory, customer and catalog flows for our e-commerce websites and marketplaces. The goal is to create a single gateway that centralizes the various flows coming from legacy tools, enabling business growth and international expansion.
• E-commerce website management: I am responsible for the development and maintenance of websites for brands such as Freegun, Capslab, Von Dutch, Umbro, Pierre Cardin Underwear and La Boutique du Boxer.
• Logistics flow management: I handle the integration and management of logistics flows, ensuring smooth coordination between the different stages of the supply chain.
• E-commerce flow management: I handle the integration and management of e-commerce flows, including marketplaces and flash sale operations.
• Technical leadership: I lead a team of four developers, coordinating projects and ensuring the quality of deliverables.
• IT vendor and project management: I manage IT vendors, steer ongoing projects, and oversee interventions on third-party tools such as the WMS and POS software.
• User support: I oversee user support, ensuring that IT requests and issues are resolved efficiently.
